**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

We - re looking for a flexible, dynamic and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our Gastroenterology Department, which has a large focus on endoscopy procedures.

The position is for 1.0 FTE and the hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for being organised and efficient in your approach to work, enjoy multi-tasking and working at pace, and be a team player. You will also be empathetic, have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to relate to people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds.

**Duties**
- Assisting nursing with patient flow between procedures
- Maintaining oversight of clinical supplies and restocking as needed
- Maintaining a clean environment to a high standard
- Delegated patient care activities within the scope of the role description

The Gastroenterology Department provides regional and tertiary services for most aspects of gastroenterology. There is a strong focus on endoscopy and interventional procedures for both adults and, periodically, children in inpatient and outpatient services.

- Current NZ working Visa
- At least NZQA level 3 or higher certificate or equivalent qualification or willingness to work towards this qualification within a set timeframe.
