**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**
The Principal Advisor Parking Compliance is a senior role responsible for overseeing and enhancing parking compliance strategies and operations to ensure effective enforcement of parking regulations. Responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing and managing policies and procedures relating to parking regulations
- Working closely with the Team Leader Parking Compliance and Senior Parking Compliance Officers to promote a balanced approach to parking that supports the Councils related goals
- Provide coaching and mentoring of Parking Compliance Officers through provision of technical guidance
- Act as Senior Prosecutor for Parking Compliance in Court related matters and defended hearings
- Role modelling our shared values and empowering, motivating and developing others in the team

Our Principal Advisor Parking Compliance is someone who leads by example and approaches problems with a positive attitude. They are a strong communicator who considers the impact of their ideas beyond the team and to the community. They will bring with them:
- Experience in a senior type of position dealing with high level issues in an enforcement or compliance environment
- Strong report writing skills and strong experience in developing best practice policy and process solutions
- Demonstrated skills, ability and commitment to coach and mentor
- Detailed working knowledge of relevant legislation and bylaws
