**Ko tā mātou mahi | Our role**
As a Customer Connections Specialist, your primary role is to serve as the central point of contact for customers, retailers and service providers seeking new electricity or gas supplies. This involves conducting desk-based assessments for incoming requests and managing all related queries, issues and follow-ups throughout their life cycle.
You’ll handle assessments, manage queries, and ensure smooth service fulfilment. With a focus on excellent customer service, you maintain accurate records, process requests promptly and administer approval processes. Your goal? To deliver exceptional experiences and support seamless connections for all stakeholders.
You’ll have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of electricity, gas and distributed generation, which can pave the way for career advancement within Vector.

We are looking for an individual who has demonstrated a consistent ability to provide exceptional customer experiences, reflecting an ability to manage tasks efficiently.
You are someone who embodies:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a poised and professional demeanor
- Personal resilience and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- A commitment to treading all customers with courtesy and respect in every interaction.
- Responsiveness, with a commitment to promptly return customers calls or messages.
- Taking ownership of resolving customer issues, demonstrating personal accountability
