**About the role**:
The ICT Security and Risk Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining an organisation wide information security management programme to ensure assets are adequately protected. Responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting on information security and ICT function risks, promoting and pursuing a control environment that supports the risk appetite of the business and meets compliance and regulatory requirements.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Significant experience in protective security, information security, audit and risk management
- Strong working knowledge of information and cyber security practice
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the promotion and education of risk and internal control management practices at all levels of an organisation
- Demonstrated ability to assess risks associated with assurance related assignments
- Demonstrated experience in advising and supporting people at all levels of large complex organisations
- Experience Influencing senior stakeholders both within and outside an organisation.
- Experience in leading and delivering change - support culture of security and digital risk capability
- Experience leading through influencing other stakeholders.
- A good understanding of the machinery of government and key programme management, planning and performance and performance functions.
- Promotes and models ethical behaviour consistent with Fire and Emergency NZ’s organisational values.
- Working knowledge of Protective Security Requirements published by the NZSIS, New Zealand Information Security Manual published by GSCB, and cloud computing guidance published by the GCDO
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certification Information System Security Professional (CISSP) qualification
