**Who are we**:
Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity established on 1 July 2017 under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017. The role of our new organization is to reduce unwanted fires, respond to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents, natural disasters and support increased community resilience.

**About the role**:
As a key member of the ICT Architecture and Strategy team, the Enterprise Architect translates business goals into enterprise technology and architecture visions, priorities and standards, and creates architecture designs (conceptual and logical) or large complex systems to ensure that they are sustainable and future proofed.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Deep knowledge of architectural methodologies and frameworks
- Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that supports collaboration and builds and maintains relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated experience in creating, maintaining and fostering strong relationships with Business, external stakeholders and internal ICT staff.
- Experience in modelling and graphic representations
- Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills and able to examine business systems, determine trends and develop ways to streamline processes
- High attention to detail
- Thrive in uncertainty and ambiguity
- Continuous learning and growth-mindset
- Deep knowledge of cloud services architectures, security and design patterns and modern development practices including development and deployment frameworks.
- Experienced in analyzing issues and removing complexities so that logical solutions can be presented to all levels of the business.
- Must be able to work and deliver within identified and agreed constraints such as budget, timeframes, and resourcing.
