**About the role**

You’ll help students to become work ready as they study on the Grad Cert/Dip TESOL programme, using your professional skills and experience. Your industry contacts will provide students with real world experience, work placements and internships. If you’re new to tutoring, Wintec - Te Pūkenga will provide you with teacher training.

Wintec - Te Pūkenga’s TESOL programme (Level 7) caters for a wide range of learners, including teachers and teacher aides in schools, tertiary teachers, as well as those who are new to teaching, including graduates and others who qualify for entry to the programme. As a tutor on the programme you would be expected to deliver a range of content in both face-to-face classes and through the online learning platform, Moodle.

You will need to be familiar with a wide range of TESOL-related theory and practice, and second language acquisition (SLA) in particular. You will have a strong background as an English language teacher, and some background as an English language teacher trainer. You will ideally have at least a master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics or Education (with a TESOL focus).
