**About us**:
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has a vacancy within the Cryptographic Solutions & Development Unit for a Senior Communication (COMSEC) Specialist.

**About the role**:
Our Senior COMSEC Specialists provide the wrap-around support services that sustain NZ Government's high assurance cryptographic equipment. As a Senior COMSEC specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in multiple support areas, or gain deep expertise in one. These areas include:

- Audit and compliance
- Policy development
- Equipment purchasing
- Training development and delivery
- Customer support and stakeholder engagement

**About you**:
We are seeking someone with experience in some of the following areas:

- Operation and management of COMSEC equipment, or have worked with high assurance information systems
- Handling, movement, and operational requirements of COMSEC material
- Policy development, equipment purchasing, or training delivery
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
