- Intelligence Analyst role within a close-knit team undertaking Intelligence analysis and assessing threats, risks and issues within our regulatory system Wellington based

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

We are looking for an existing or aspiring Intelligence Analyst to join our close-knit Regulatory Intelligence & Risk team. You'll work alongside the Manager, Principals and Seniors and contribute to the success of the team as a whole.

Working in this role you'll support and lead the production of high-quality Intelligence products via the collection of information (including undertaking proactive environmental scanning), undertaking collation and analysis (that applies best practice structured analytical techniques), and assessing threats, risks and issues to the regulatory Land Transport System. Responsibilities include:

- Contributing to environment scanning for threats, risks and issues that relate to our regulation of the Land Transport System
- Providing support and coordination for the management and delivery of Intelligence products (operational and tactical)
- Producing operational and tactical Intelligence products, ensuring timeliness and quality assurance in line with agreed processes.

We are seeking to appoint at a salary between $91,328 to $121,770 commensurate to skills and experience.

- Demonstrated experience collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative information
- Experience identifying and assessing threats and risks
- An ability to build intentional relationships and work collaboratively with others
- A strong track record of delivery from your previous roles Ability to demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
- The following would also be an advantage:

- A relevant qualification
- Knowledge of Intelligence, the Land Transport System, and/or regulation.
