We sat down with Head of West Auckland, who let us know the following about the role:
**What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?**
- People Leader observations of the team - you will be able to provide constructive feedback to your teams, to help serve customers brilliantly
- As a service champion, you will lead and role-model excellence for our customers
- Business development - you will have the opportunity to wave the BNZ flag and help our communities prosper
- Supporting your teams to get policies, processes, and procedures right, first time
- You will play a significant role in coaching and supporting your team along their career journey (through BCAP), helping to improve their capability and reach their potential

**What is the team culture and environment like?**

Sylvia Park is one of our biggest branches in New Zealand, so it is a very fast-paced and busy team, and as the branch is open 7 days a week - the team is dynamic and everchanging.

Across the teams there is a wealth of experience, so we can leverage the more experienced bankers to support one another, to help serve our customers well.

**What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?**

The most exciting thing is being able to put your own style, and flair into a senior leadership role The branches have been performing well already, so you have a great foundation to leverage off, to take it to an even higher performing team.

Another exciting and rewarding part of the role, is the personal and emotional connection you have with people across New Zealand, as we are the Bank of New Zealand, you play an important and positive role in helping to change people's lives for good.

**What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?**

In this role you will be leading dual sites (Sylvia Park and Onehunga) so a challenge will be how you balance expectations and ensure you can support everybody.

Our Consumer business is fast paced and continues to evolve to meet our customers needs. You will need to be agile, adaptable, and find a way to lead your teams successfully.

Success = a happy and engaged team delivering for our customers

You will also be able to add value by acting as a role model when it comes to serving our customers brilliantly and helping our communities prosper.
