**SERVICE DELI ASSISTANT MANAGER - NEW WORLD ILAM**

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated foodie and energetic person to join our wonderful Deli team at New World Ilam as a Service Deli Assistant Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large Deli team who are passionate about producing high quality products and providing excellent customer service.

We offer a great team culture and a strong team focus. You will have the opportunity to build on your leadership skills through the Foodstuffs leadership training program.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring excellent customer service is delivered to our valued customers
- Assisting the Service Deli with the day to day running of the Service Deli
- Managing and supervising team members
- Food planning, preparation, production and presentation
- Maintaining our high standards of Food Safety and Health & Safety
- Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers
- Covering the Deli Manager while they are away on leave

**To be a good fit for this role you will be able to**:

- Supervise and manage a busy team
- Effectively communicate with a diverse range of people
- Be competent using computer programs - SAP experience is ideal
- Assist with the management of food safety and health and safety
- Have a proven background in food production and cooking, as we make an extensive range of in-house products

**Hours**:
**This role is a fulltime permanent position. The days of work are Tuesday to Saturday 6am-2.30pm (40 hours).**

Overseas applicants must hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency or a Valid New Zealand Work Permit.
