Service Deli Assistant Manager

Are you looking for a leadership position working with customers AND food?

We are looking for someone who can lead a hardworking team and assist in producing a wide range of delicious food. This permanent full-time position needs someone who is energetic and passionate about amazingly presented food and next level customer service as well as a diligent and responsible leader. This role could suit a supervisor who is looking to take the next step in their career or someone with previous food and leadership experience.

The days of this role are Sunday to Thursday with hours to be discussed at interview stage.

Our Service Deli department is a cornerstone of our Fresh Foods Court, known for top-quality products, expert knowledge, and friendly service. We pride ourselves on delivering a unique experience that keeps customers coming back.

Your day to day:

  • Leading the food production and team permanently on a Sunday, Monday and other days and times when required
  • Delegating tasks, giving feedback, as well as coaching and training team members
  • Using your initiative and organisation skills to make decisions about tasks
  • Working closely with the Service Deli Manager to ensure team and department goals are being met
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and having a good understanding and knowledge of our products
  • Serving customers across our world-class fresh food serve-overs including Seafood and Butchery
  • Following all Food Safety and Health and Safety tasks and processes to a high standard
