Area Sales Manager

**Your Impact**
Representing NZs highest regarded and most loved brands such as Long White, Cody’s, Woodstock, Asahi, Peroni and many more, this hybrid role will support our on-premise, retail and grocery customers throughout **Manawatu / Whanganui / Central North Island and surrounds, with one, regional overnight stay a month**
You will be responsible for developing customer relationships, executing the sales strategy, and working with a competitive and sociable team to ensure all objectives are met.
**Key responsibilities**
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers to provide a high level of customer service
- Negotiating sales agreements, on-shelf product positioning, new product ranging and other commercial initiatives
- Merchandising key business drivers and activating promotional plans
- Identifying and capitalising on local market opportunities to build sales and profitability
- Achieving budgeted sales and distribution targets
- Working autonomously to manage your monthly call plan and growing accounts
**About you**

- Confident and passionate about exploring new business opportunities
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Excellent ability to solve complex issues, and plan & prioritise accordingly
- Excited to actively participate in a close knit-team, both on day-to-day activities and the annual fishing trip
- Sales experience within an FMCG, liquor or the region would be advantageous but not necessary
