**Traffic Controller / STMS Level 1**

Treescape are looking for energetic, motivated individuals to join our Traffic Management division working out of our Kumeu, Otahuhu and Warkworth bases. You will join a friendly and skilled crew that takes pride in their work.

We are seeking Traffic Management Specialists of all levels to assist with our various projects across the greater Auckland Region. Your main objective will be to ensure the safety of all road users including the general public, cyclists, pedestrians, work crews, your own traffic management crew and yourself.

This is a permanent and fulltime position working Monday to Friday including some weekend work and on call shifts when required.

**About you?**

If you are a reliable, punctual and motivated individual with a positive attitude and are committed to a safety-first mind set, you will also have:

- A Class 1 or 2 Full NZ license
- Traffic Controllers - A current Level 1 Basic Traffic Controllers certificate or the new Traffic Management Operative warrant (TMO) this is preferable but not essential
- STMS - A current STMS level 1 qualification
- A passion for working outdoors, physically fit and self-motivated
- Committed to working Monday to Friday and have flexibility for weekend and on call shifts
- Great communication and verbal skills to communicate through radio transmitters while operating stop/go and with dealing with crews and the general public
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills and can think on the run and can deal with unexpected and emergency incidents

The fine print:

- To be eligible for this position you must currently be living in NZ and have a legal right to work in this country (i.e. NZ Citizenship, be a permanent resident, or hold full working rights)
- This is a permanent and full-time position working Monday to Friday 47.5 hours per week. Additional hours and flexibility are generally available.

**Salary**: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
