**The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7-kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.**

**What you will be doing**:
Reporting to the Lead STMS (Site Traffic Management Supervisor) you will assist with the day-to-day traffic control activities for the Central Interceptor Project.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Some of the things you may get involved with but may not be limited to the following.
- Perform day-to-day traffic control activities, such as site establishment/dis-establishment and monitoring
- Supervise Traffic Controllers on sites
- Follow the traffic management plan
- Carry out on-site briefings to advise of hazards, driving and parking requirements, and site entry/exit points
- Ensure the site is always in a safe and tidy condition and wastage is minimised
- Check that duties are completed efficiently to meet or exceed requirements
- Keep a register of all traffic movements in and out of the worksites
- Keeping the Lead STMS informed of any challenges
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an STMS
- Level 1 STMS and CAT A, essential
- L2/3P preferred
- Minimum Class 1 full Drivers Licence
- Current STMS qualification from NZTA
- Experience working on construction sites
- Good communication skills and ‘can do’ attitude
- Physically fit and safety aware
- Construct Safe Level 1 essential

We have one, full-time permanent position available, based in Auckland, and the hourly rate ($28.00- $30.00) will be experience, skills, and qualification dependent.

Minimum 40 hours a week between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Saturday until such time as required to work on a rostered shift pattern, in line with the programme demands of the project.

All successful applicants will be required to undertake a Ministry of Justice and pre-employment drug and medical checks.
