The Florence Nightingale Agency has been in business since 1997. Our team of office staff and support workers provide home based support to help people live the way they want to, in the home and in the community.

Florence Nightingale Agency has an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our Flexible Disability Support Unit. This unit is responsible for the support and empowerment of disabled people and their families to have more say in the type of cares received and how they will be delivered. Centric to our services are our care staff and the people we support. We operate in line with the enabling good lives principles.
**Key areas of responsibility include**:
- Coordinate placement of care staff in the person’s home (or location of supports/community).
- Manage rosters/schedules to ensure the person has the right level of supports at all time, and that they know exactly who is coming, when and why.
- Actively liaise with recruitment services to support accurate, timely recruitment.
- Managing absences and roster gaps promptly.
- Effective, professional and timely communication with the person regarding roster and care staff.
- Maintaining accurate documentation for reporting purposes.

- Be a self-starter with initiative and drive.
- Have a genuine willingness to advocate for and work with a diverse range of clients.
- Have the ability to develop and maintain collaborative and trusting relationships.
- Be committed to a team environment shown by a willingness to pitch in and lend a hand.
- Have attention to detail and an accuracy in data entry and the efficient management of resources.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
Visas must have more than one years expiry and no student visas will be accepted. We also require staff to be fully vaccinated with proof of Covid-19 vaccinations.
