Senior Regulatory Administrator

Due to an internal promotion, Napier City Council has an opportunity for a high performing administrator with solid organisational and administration skills to join our Regulatory Solutions Team.
As a Senior Regulatory Administrator, you will assist and support the Team Leader by providing day-to-day coordination and direction of the administration team, provide guidance and training to administrators, and take the lead on more advanced tasks and issues as they arise.
This is a role that sits in a fast-paced environment and has a strong customer focus, which will allow you to be part of our hardworking and supportive team environment. This varied role offers you a different challenge every day and will offer you empowerment of your own learning to enable you to continually grow your knowledge with our team.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Coordination of the environmental health, liquor licencing, resource consent, policy, compliance, and parking processes
- Coordination of the Proposed District Plan project
- Administrative support for all infringements, including inputting of data, response to appeals, issuing of reminder notices, management of electronic extractions to court and payments received from court, infringement file creation
- Assist the Team Leader with weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to Council across all portfolios
- Identify improvement to processes, systems, or tools used by the administrator teams and across the delivery of the directorate
- Provide guidance to the public regarding relevant regulatory and legislative requirements to promote general compliance and good public relations
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- NCEA Level 3 or equivalent
- At least 2 years in a senior administrative and project coordination role; and
- Have the working ability to read, interpret and implement legislative requirements related to this role. For example, but not limited to, Local Government Act, Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act, Food Act, Resource Management Act, Land Transport Act, bylaws and policies
