High Tech Ventures Limited is seeking an outstanding person who has the skills and qualification to work as a Telecommunications Technician in Auckland region. The role requires experienced, competent, and motivated individual who is prepared to carry out several duties and needs ability to work in a pressured and fast paced environment.

You will mainly be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing the telecommunications in residential and/or commercial base.

**Job Description**:

- Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to figure out where to install the equipment and how to link it.
- Plan, design, and troubleshoot local and wide area network infrastructure, including Wireless Routers, Copper phone lines and Fibre networks using various instruments.
- Upgrading and maintaining clients' current telecommunications systems.
- Document network by properly routing and labelling both equipment and cables.
- Knowledge of Category 6 and 6A Copper Systems
- Fibre optic cabling installation and splicing and testing
- Security Cabling, WIFI and CCTV installations
- Network switch and router installations
- Server room and data centre installations
- Audio visual, projector and sound system cabling and installations

Skills and Requirements:

- Relevant qualification in Telecommunications, Diploma in IT or other similar qualification or relevant work experience for 3 years minimum.
- Comply with company Standards and NZ Health and Safety Regulations at all times.
- Good communication and Customer service skills.
- Experience in networking and IT troubleshooting.
- Cabling experience will be an added advantage
- Work unsupervised and physically fit
- Team player, exceptionally reliable, effective and strong workmanship
- Capable of communicating effectively with all our clients.
- Good problem and fault-finding skills
- Capable of learning new Systems & networking Technologies
- Comfortable working on Construction sites and working at heights
- Willingness to work in rostered shifts
- No Criminal Record and must pass the police vetting and drug checks
- Must have a full driver’s license and/or able to convert to full drivers license

**Salary**:

- Salary offer from $32.00 to $35.00 rate per hour depend on skill and experience
- Minimum guaranteed hours of 32 hours per week
- Location of work is within Auckland
