Neox Communications Ltd specializes in the installation and maintenance of optic Fibre on Chorus’s network.

We are currently seeking three Telecommunications Technician to join our Auckland Team.

As a Telecommunications Technician you will carry out fibre installation's as well as remedial work ensuring works are completed to industry and Company standards.

The successful applicant will have a broad range of skills with a keen interest in Telecommunications and with a desire to further their career in this industry. No experience or no qualification required. Training will be provided.

Job duties may include but not limited to the following:
Fibre and cable laying from boundary to premises.

Installing wiring as required, including cable runs through buildings and ceilings.

Capable of using hand and power tools.

Thrusting and underground cabling for residential customer's, consenting & open trench work.

Pole Climbing and Surveying.

Run cables internally and fixing Gib board and paint.

Hand trenching in soft surface and bury cable and reinstatement.

Slot cut or Micro trench on concrete driveway and hard surface and bury cable and reinstatement.

Breaking concrete footpath to fix fault and reinstatement..

Installing telecom cables and data cables.

Diagnosing and resolving network and system faults to ensure optimal networking functionality.

Diagnostics of faults in cabling and/or in equipment.

Assesses and documenting current site network configuration and user

requirements.

Integrating and configuring telecommunication devices and tools to industry

standards. Connects fibre optic cables to networking outlets and between

network outlets.

Skills and attributes, we are looking for:
First Aid certificate preferred.

Ability to pass pre-employment drug and criminal history check

No relevant experience required. Training will be provided.

No relevant qualifications required. Training will be provided.

Physically fit as work involves manual digging and Heavy Lifting.

The incumbent maybe required to work after hours/weekends or public holidays.

Must be willing to work in confined spaces.

An energetic personality and an enthusiastic approach to work.

Able to Work unsupervised and within a team.

Honest, Reliable and Punctual.

working between Monday to Saturday(7am-7pm) with the ability to work on weekends and public holidays if required.

Minimum of 31 hours a week.

Salary
- Hourly rate of $25-$31 per hour in commensurate with experience and skills

Schedule:
8 hour shift
