Telecommunications Technician Wanted

Excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-established Auckland based company and become a part of a great team.

We are looking for 1 PERMANENT full-time (at least 30 hours guaranteed, workdays from Monday to Friday) Telecommunications Technician to grow with our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.

**The duties include**:

- Read / Understand plans or technical diagrams for telecommunications equipment and systems
- Implement proposed solutions as per client’s needs and the agreed scope of work
- Install and maintain telecommunications equipment & systems i.e Fibre, Copper & wireless
- Identify & repair faults with telecommunications equipment & systems using a variety of testing devices i.e Cable Analyzer, OTDR etc
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Follow National and local building regulations and telecommunications system standards. i.e ASNZ, Chorus etc
- Direct, train and assist co-workers to install, maintain, or repair telecommunications systems, wiring or equipment
- Works being carried out will be UFB, Chorus, and backbone fibres for commercial entities.

**To be successful you will need to**:

- At least three years relevant work experience or a relevant NZQF level 5 or above qualification
- Have “can-do” attitude and team spirits
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
