**About the role**
The Senior Modern Desktop Engineer plays a crucial role in driving the optimization and enhancement of digital workplace services. This position involves leading initiatives to design, implement, and maintain DWS infrastructure while working closely with cross-functional teams. The role focuses on troubleshooting complex issues, providing mentorship, and evaluating emerging technologies to continuously improve service quality and delivery.
- Lead and execute projects to enhance and optimize Digital Workplace Services (DWS) infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Act as the Incident, Problem, and Change Management Lead (ITIL) for DWS operations.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration of DWS solutions with other IT systems.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive high-quality support and operational excellence.

**Who we are looking for**:

- **Education & Experience**: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience); 7+ years in desktop engineering, with 3+ years in a senior/lead role. It would be highly desirable if you had advanced certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
- ** Leadership & Collaboration**: Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, experience leading BAU operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- ** Technical Expertise**: Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, and desktop technologies; expertise in endpoint management tools (Microsoft MECM/SCCM, Intune); proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- ** ITIL & Security**: Experience with ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes; solid understanding of endpoint security practices and compliance.
- ** Tools & Support**: Skilled in cloud technologies (Azure), Microsoft Teams meeting room systems, network protocols, software deployment, patch management, and Active Directory administration.
