**Job Description**:
AECOM is looking for a Safety, Health, Environment & Wellbeing (SHE&W) Coordinator to work within our vibrant team to deliver SHE&W solutions in a practical way. This is a 3 month temporary role which may lead to a permanent position, offering career advancement in the SHE&W sector. It would suit someone experienced in Health & Safety that is keen to showcase their SHE&W skills in a supportive and rewarding environment. The role can be full-time or part-time.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the SHE&W team on the development and implementation of strategic objectives related to safety, health, environment, wellbeing and resilience in line with the broader ANZ SH&E strategy.
- Coordinating SH&E inspections and audits of regional offices and project sites.
- Participating at committee meetings where required to. This may include preparing for or minuting.
- Developing communications related to staff health and wellbeing, social responsibility, sustainability, innovation, safety compliance, where appropriate.
- Providing local support for internal investigations and monitoring corrective actions
- Collating SH&E statistics for inclusion in monthly reports etc.
- Developing and maintaining SH&E risk registers for offices within NZ.
- Assisting the SH&E team with internal training programs. Assisting with the development, delivery and maintenance of in-house training programmes to achieve risk
- based training across NZ.
- Coordinating maintaining employee records and bookings for SH&E training, medical surveillance, immunisation provisions, return to work, office emergency response and related records.
**Qualifications**:
We are seeking an experienced health & safety coordinator who is able to demonstrate:
- Relevant health and safety qualification i.e. National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or similar would be ideal
- Passion for health and safety and a personal commitment to zero harm
- Broad understanding of the NZ regulatory environment as it relates to health and safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of an integrated safety management system
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload, whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Systematic and well-organised, including strong time and self-management skills
- Ability to build relationships, communicate and influence all levels of the business.
