New World Stonefields is proud to offer one of the best in-store bakeries in Auckland and is looking for a new team member to join as the new Bakery 2IC.

**You will**:

- Help to manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery department, including ordering, inventory management, production planning, and scheduling.
- Ensure that all bakery products are prepared to high-quality standards, following store recipes and procedures.
- Train and supervise a team of bakery staff, ensuring they are fully trained on all aspects of bakery production, customer service, food safety and health and safety.
- Work alongside the Bakery manager to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including product promotions, merchandising, and cost controls.
- Ensure that the bakery department is fully compliant with all food safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized bakery department, including all equipment and storage areas.

**To be successful in this role you will have**
- Experience in a bakery or similar food production environment.
- Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Sound knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure consistent product quality.
- The ability to work flexible hours as required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
