**Dry Goods Assistant Manager (2IC) - New World Point Chevalier**

We’re excited to announce that New World Point Chevalier will be joining the community later this year With a brand-new store and impressive offering across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce and liquor, we can’t wait to open our doors to the Point Chev community.

With our opening set for early September 2025, we’re currently seeking an experienced Dry Goods Assistant Manager to join the team. As a department leader, you’ll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our community.

**The Role**:
Your focus as Dry Goods Assistant Manager will be to support the Dry Goods Manager with people-management and department operations. This is a hands-on role that will see you:

- Plan and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day operations of the dry department
- Manage staff, stock, and merchandising
- Ensure staff are well trained to provide the best overall shopping experience for our customers
- Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results
- Manage the department in the absence of the Dry Goods Manager.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Proven retail experience at a supervisor level or higher
- Reliable, self-motivated and be a good team player
- Sound computer literacy and keen to learn and use the latest technology
- Great people skills and people leadership potential
- Previous experience with SAP advantageous
- Previous duty manager or sole charge experience advantageous
- LCQ and/or Managers Certificate and experience selling alcohol is advantageous
