Fixed term/secondment opportunity through to 27 June 2024 - Based in Gisborne
Now, more than ever, you can make a meaningful difference to the lives of those in the wider Tairawhiti Region.
Developing a response to the Tairawhiti region's labour market demand, the Labour Market Advisors take charge in creating and strengthening links with employers, industry sectors, community groups, iwi, providers and agencies.
Utilising well informed labour market intelligence, you will shape agreements and solutions with industries and employers - all with the goal to attain sustainable and meaningful employment results for clients. Labour market information will be used to direct your day to day activities and contribute to developing longer term regional labour market strategies.
You'll be responsible for providing full account management to employers, industry groups, iwi partners and industry training providers. A key focus is the promotion of the benefits of partnering with us to employers and industry alliances.
About you
- You have a strong understanding of current labour market developments, trends and issues and their subsequent impact on those disadvantaged in the local labour market is important.
- You have a strong understanding of the role of the Tairawhiti Regional Skills Leadership Group and the Tairawhiti Regional Work Force Plan (RWP), and how the Ministry of Social Development can align to RWP to assist growth and long term employment from both jobseekers' and employers' perspectives.
- You have developed comprehensive knowledge of the Tairawhiti labour market from a economic response perspective and the challenges this presents from both jobseekers' and employers' perspectives.
- Collaborative in style, you are an exceptional relationship builder with sound business acumen. You're a strong communicator who has a track record of influencing change and negotiating across complex stakeholder groups.
- Due to the nature of this role, a full driver's licence without restrictions and/or a willingness to travel is required.
Position Description
**Salary range**: $89,622.00 - $108,622.00
