**Location**: Gisborne (Ikaroa Rāwhiti)
We have an exciting, fixed term/secondment opportunity for an experienced, motivated Senior Advisor to lead work with whānau, hapū, iwi, Māori organisations and communities within their region.
Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity
As a Senior Advisor you will be the champion and promoter of the Te Puni Kōkiri investment strategy to enable better outcomes for Māori. Working alongside and supporting your region you will form long term relationships while understanding the context of your region. This includes
- Support the region to deliver on the work programme
- Support the Regional Director and Team Leader to build a strong presence for Te Puni Kōkori in the region to support the implementation of Government policies
- Provide mentoring and coaching to Advisors within the region
- Manage the flow of information between Māori and the Policy puni for programme evaluation\Manage local level provider contracts including reporting and funding approvals

**To be successful in this role you**:
- Have experience working with whānau, hapū, iwi, Māori organisations and communities
- Commercial experience with keen analytical skills and the ability to identify and support possible growth opportunities
- Can identify, build and actively manage relationships, valuing diverse perspectives and experiences
- Are comfortable working in a tikanga / kaupapa Māori environment, a degree of fluency in te reo Māori is of benefit and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi partnership is a must
- Clean full drivers licence
