For more than a century AFFCO has been supplying quality grass fed meat products to New Zealanders and around the world. AFFCO is 100 percent New Zealand owned and a proud member of the Talley’s Group, a leading exporter of dairy, seafood and vegetable products. We have 12 plants around New Zealand and proudly export our lamb, beef and allied products to over 80 countries.
AFFCO Manawatu currently has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Compliance Manager to join our site leadership team based in the Manawatu.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the position provides specialist support to the AFFCO Manawatu site while co-ordinating the implementation and on-going effectiveness of systems and procedures. The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the site adheres to quality and compliance programmes (including but not limited to HACCP, RMP, supporting programmes) and ensuring the plant remains compliant with NZ and overseas regulatory requirements at all times. You will also be responsible for managing the site based Compliance team.
With an organised and systematic approach to your work, you also have the ability to develop and lead a technical team, while liaising and supporting managers and supervisors to perform their roles more effectively.

Previous experience in the meat industry is preferred, but not essential. Applicants for this position must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
