**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for a senior engineer to join us in **The Money Team (TMT)**.

The Money Team (TMT) is a cross functional team in Xero’s Ecosystem group consisting of six Engineers, including a Quality Engineer, and a Product Owner. The team is supported by shared design and devops teams as well as an Architect and a Principal Engineer outside the team. It works closely with other teams regularly making changes to shared codebases.

The team’s primary purpose is managing and enhancing the subscription and billing platform powering Xero’s App Store. Allowing people to seamlessly subscribe to the right apps for their business is a key strategic priority for Xero. It helps our customers make more money and save time as well as generating revenue for Xero and our app partners. Building additional revenue streams for our app partners leads to more apps in our app store and richer functionality for our customers than Xero alone can provide. I.e. a vibrant, thriving ecosystem between Xero, our app partners and our customers.

Our teams are working on exciting products built on a modern technology stack using.Net Core, TypeScript and React, among others running on Docker and AWS. We’re continuously delivering improvements to our customers multiple times a day and looking to go even faster.

**What you’ll do**:

- You’ll contribute to the design, development, and management of services that drive the Xero Ecosystem, working collaboratively as part of a team. You’ll work closely with engineering and product leadership to break down and prioritise work. You’ll contribute to shared goals by working towards the same objectives, using modern software and delivery principles and practises.
- You’ll build relationships with internal teams at Xero to advocate for, promote and improve developer experience as a practice, and in implementation. This could include activities such as driving a developer experience community of practice.
- You’ll help lead the architecture, implementation and end-to-end support of the Xero App Store. This includes providing APIs and event notifications for Xero’s app partners to manage subscriptions to their apps and consistently trying to improve the quality of our services through enhanced monitoring and automated test coverage.
- You’ll help maintain the standard for engineering excellence at Xero and support your team members in building products together. You’ll demonstrate leadership on best practises, and be a role model and mentor for other team members. This includes staying up-to-date with engineering best practises & standards, and using tools such as metrics and SLO’s to ensure reliability. There are also opportunities to support and have input into wider Xero initiatives on engineering practises.
- You’ll seek clarity around product and technical complexities and be able to demonstrate smart ways to automate.
- You’ll strive to make data-driven decisions that will release value early to solve customer problems more effectively.

**What you’ll bring with you**:

- Experience mentoring other engineers and a desire to share knowledge

- Experience delivering software in a modern agile environment
- Familiarity with continuous delivery practises (CI/CD])
- Experience with C# and.NET would be an advantage
