Due to an internal transfer an opportunity now exists to join our Parts and Operations team as Pricing and Stock Analyst at our Head Office in Palmerston North. Reporting directly to the Associate Manager - Parts and Accessories, Operations & Logistics, this role will see you using your strong analytical skills to analyse pricing, sales, costings, and stock levels of parts to maximise sales, minimise stock disposals, determine key insights and trends, provide reports to management and drive this area of the business forward.

To be successful in this role you will need to be both proactive, and analytical. You will be the type of person who loves to work with high volumes of data and thrives in an environment where process and structure are key. Attention to detail will be high on your skillset as will a good head for numbers and to see the opportunities amongst them a high degree of accuracy and the ability to provide recommendations and decisions to stakeholders.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and implementing supplier price updates

Communicating price changes to dealerships

Monitoring effects of FX rates and freight costs on margins

Conducting monthly pricing meetings with management

Using data to develop budget and forecasting strategies

Undertaking analysis to identify trends and insights to support reporting and future strategies

Exceptional problem-solving ability

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Proven experience in working with and interpreting large volumes of data

The ability to form good relationships within departments and with suppliers

The ability to thrive in a busy environment

The ability to pick up new systems (Experience in JDE preferred but not essential)

A proactive, can-do attitude

Previous experience as a Data Analyst or in an Accounting role is advantageous
