About the programme
The Public-Sector Finance Graduate Programme is a is a truly collaborative graduate programme involving thirty graduates placed across 13 Government Departments. We offer graduates a three-year rotational development programme to build finance talent. Graduates on the programme spend the first two years in six-month rotations, with a one-year placement in the final year. This is an exciting opportunity for graduates to grow their professional networks and sharpen their business acumen while they move between diverse participating agencies, meeting heaps of people and experiencing different organisations
The diversity doesn't stop with different workplaces. This programme offers graduates a taste of the finance bigger picture across financial accounting, planning, procurement, management accounting and more, all while working towards qualifying as an accountant.
**About the role**:
We are on the hunt for an exceptional team leader to come and work with our graduates and help deliver graduate programme activities. This is a multi-faceted role where you will be working as part of a small team, requiring you to be hands on in the day to day operations of the programme and interactions with the graduates to fully support their journey and help them strive for excellence.
**To be successful in this role you will**:
- Have strong leadership skills with previous experience managing teams
- Manage and participate in the cohort attraction and recruitment programme
- Guide and support graduates to develop and implement their development and performance plans
- Bring exceptional relationship building skills to work across a myriad of people in helping advance public service graduate management
- Bring a can-do attitude with a flexible approach to your work
- Have the ability to plan and supervise workloads and ensure everyone is kept on track
- Be supportive, motivating and willing to take on new initiatives
- Have an understanding of appropriate social media use for promotional events, career fairs, campus events
- Act as an ambassador for the Public-Sector Finance Graduate Programme, ensuing there is visibility and ongoing engagement for all initiatives
- Take ownership of the placement lifecycle and day to day activities to help increase the quality and strategic direction of the programme for future cohorts
