**Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**
The Operations Manager will primarily manage and support the delivery teams carrying out Sealing work across the Waikato/BOP and further afield.

You’ll be involved in project planning, as well as the direction and management of operations, specialist fleet, and our customer relationships. You will direct the supervisory team and support them to drive team performance, execute work to top standards, and to meet productivity, quality & safety targets.

Key priorities include:

- Management of plans & strategies, retention and development of business opportunities
- Management, direction and engagement of the Waikato and Bay of Plenty Sealing crews
- Effective resource management Lead by example, driving Zero Harm through operational excellence

This is a Full-Time, permanent opportunity based in our Te Rapa, Hamilton depot and will include travel across the wider Waikato/Bay of Plenty region and further afield on occasions where required.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
With substantial people and resource management experience, and a firm foundation in Road Sealing works, you will have the knowledge and confidence to tackle this role. A collaborative approach to working within and across multi-functional teams from different parts of the business is a key requirement as well as strong leadership skills.

We’d also value:

- The abillity to deal with unexpected events/make decisions and provide direction to crew
- Ideation and solutions to unexpected events - promoting a “continual improvement” philosophy
- Proven management experience with responsibility and accountability for staff, plant and return on investment - preferably in the range of maintenance sector activities
- Demonstrated experience developing a culture that supports SQE management, encouraging and rewarding excellence
- The ability to create and deliver a strong customer focus culture
- Clear demonstration of leadership behaviours that empower others to make decisions, deliver and succeed
- Classes 1-5 licensing and knowledge of Specialist Sealing Plant beneficial
