At Manatū Hauora - Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.
The Regulation & Monitoring Directorate is responsible for leading the delivery of two of Manatū Hauora's primary roles - system monitoring and regulation. These two roles work together to ensure the delivery of high-quality and safe services that meet government and ministerial expectations
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do
You will support the team in developing and implementing a new system-level monitoring framework, including gathering insights and providing strategic advice on system performance. You will work with senior colleagues to identify risks and opportunities, contribute to targeted projects, and report progress. The role involves supporting the Ministry's System Monitoring Sub-Committee, preparing quarterly reports for the Minister of Health, and building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong organisational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy
- Tertiary qualification in health or relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Proven critical thinking and sound judgment in providing advice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to build strong relationships with teams and stakeholders.
