We now have an opportunity for a **Lead Underwriting, Liability **to join our Corporate Liability team in a permanent, full-time position. This role is open to applicants from anywhere in New Zealand.

**The Ro**le**

As **Lead Underwriting, Liability **you will provide complex and specialist underwriting guidance and solutions in the PIDO and Casualty portfolios while ensuring profitable and sustainable growth in alignment with the NZI strategy. You will be responsible for managing a team of underwriting professional’s including workflow, coaching and developing their technical knowledge. You will contribute to and lead the development and implementation of underwriting changes within NZI’s Liability Trading Team and execute growth plans to leverage key partners Liability portfolios. **About you**

To hit the ground running you will have in-depth PIDO and Casualty underwriting experience, with a passion for underwriting liability risks. A strong Excel and Tableau understanding will also be an advantage. You'll be adept at relationship management with the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes with key stakeholders at all levels. You will have existing, strong relationships within the broker market built through your excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will have strong business acumen, can resolve complex issues and thrive on achieving challenging objectives and delivering excellence.
