About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our Multi-lines underwriting team in Auckland. Your role would be to drive new and existing business across our Liability, Property and Motor lines.

This role will see responsibility for:

- Contribute to all allocated Sales Targets and KPI’s
- Underwrite and negotiate renewals and new business in line with delegated authorities within company guidelines
- Developing and executing Key Broker Account plans
- Development and maintenance of broker relationships including visitations to client offices which may include presentations on underwriting appetite and understanding DUAL platforms
- Regular travel plan to get into your region
- Coordinate Whole-of-Account opportunities, working closely with internal stakeholders to convert these opportunities
- Ensuring excellent service standards are maintained
- Answering broker enquiries
- Working effectively with the team to accomplish agreed underwriting goals

About You

A self-starter with great communication and organisational skills and a minimum of three (3) years underwriting experience across a range of product lines (Liability, Property and Motor experience preferred) with demonstrated knowledge of client industries and businesses as well as market knowledge of risk, good interpersonal skills and a passion for excellent customer service and building relationships. Enjoys working in a close-knit team and highly collaborative environment, has the ability to make decisions, a drive to grow business through team success and a hunger for personal development.
