About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Underwriting Assistant to join our Webrater team in Auckland to provide administrative support and assist with the day-to-day underwriting processes.

This role will see responsibility for:

- Triage/Filing/Workflow organisation of the DUAL Shared Mailbox
- Processing outstanding SME business to ensure all business is up to date
- Assisting with back dated filing to internal systems to ensure that all files are up to date
- Issuing timely and accurate policy documentation and liaising with Brokers if closings are incorrect
- Ensuring Mid-term adjustments, Endorsements, Renewals and New Business closings from the broker match terms given by the Underwriter prior to processing
- Developing working relationships with broker administration staff and Underwriters
- Clearing Pending Cash report in timely manner and report to Manager on outstanding items
- Coverage of DUAL’s main phone line as required
- Assisting Underwriters with administration tasks or other ad hoc duties as required

About You

As a strong communicator with a passion for customer service you will be confident in providing quality service to DUAL’s clients in a timely manner. With a background in insurance or administration you will also demonstrate a strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Experience using an eGlobal system is preferred but not essential.

About You

A self-starter with great communication and organizational skills and a minimum of three (3) years liability insurance experience with demonstrated knowledge of client industries and businesses as well as market knowledge of risk, good interpersonal skills and a passion for excellent customer service and building relationships. Enjoys working in a close-knit team and highly collaborative environment, has the ability to make decisions, a drive to grow business through team success and a hunger for personal development.
