About the role

Help lead the creation and implementation of a Data Test Strategy, Quality Assurance standards and Test Automation practices across the Data Delivery function of the bank.
Help inspire teams to innovate and try new innovative QA and Test Automation practices.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:
Be a Lead Engineer within the Data Delivery engineering team. This will include Data Warehousing, ETL platforms, Cloud Platforms, and other Data Provisioning solutions.
Lead the improvement of Data Quality standards and Test Engineering processes in the Data space.
Have proven experience in Python based testing practices
Help embed clear Quality governance and quality assurance standards, and Test Automation practices within a large team.
Collaborate closely with other Lead Engineers, Platform Leads, Architecture, Scrum teams and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet customer expectations.
Be part of and contribute to the Data Delivery Extended Leadership Team.
Work closely with the architecture team to ensure Test engineering solutions align with the architectural strategy.
Nurture a growth mindset and curiosity within our teams.
Help ensure all elements of the solutions are operationally and economically viable.
Identify, lead and implement continuous improvement through automation, DevOps and agile ways of working.
Actively research industry trends, standards and strategy, offering technical insights and direction.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
You will be someone who has practical and strong experience in Test Automation, Quality Assurance of Data, and CI/CD Pipeline development.

Have been in a technical leadership role.

Have sound experience in a complex, multi-system product development.

Technically lead agile teams and experience in embedding a collaborative culture of continuous improvement.

Extensive experience in design and development within leadership roles.

Have navigated complex multi-factorial scenarios in both known and unknown technologies.

Up-hold a growth mind-set and ethos.
