H2R Technology has been engaged to recruit a Lead Analytics Engineer for a global financial services organisation. This organisation is changing the way they make data available to their business stakeholders, working as a Lead Engineer, you’ll be responsible for leading by example when it comes to best practice and sharing knowledge and experience.

**This role**:
You will ideally have a combination of BI Development, Data Modelling and Power BI skills although we’re essentially looking for someone with good Data fundamentals. Skills in SQL, SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI would be highly advantageous. The hiring manager is very pragmatic and welcomes applicants from a variety of Data domains, who ultimately want to move into Cloud-based Data / Analytics Engineering.

This role is about business engagement and providing value through data, visualisation and insights. Along with your technical skills, strong people skills are paramount.

**Experience/Background**:

- A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 5 years experience in a relevant data or analytical discipline
- SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI experience
- Strong data literacy skills earned through a mixture of experience with data, ideally from an enterprise analytics environment
- Experience delivering analytics in the form of visualisations and interactive dashboards
- Proven ability to write SQL and previous experience with data processing frameworks
- Experience with data modelling principles would be advantageous
- Great communication skills and appreciates being part of a team environment
- Enthusiastic about learning and discovering technical and non-technical skills
