**We are looking for an Inventory Control Lead to join Service Foods Wellington**. This is a crucial role in ensuring our inventory is accurately tracked, monitored and optimized to meet our operational needs.

You will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices, as well as the ability to train and develop inventory team.

**The role**:

- Full-time permanent role.
- 5 days per week (Mon - Fri)

**The job**:
You will be responsible for maintaining proper stock levels, reducing waste and facilitating seamless order fulfilment. Our Inventory Control Lead will work closely with our warehouse team and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of products through our supply chain. Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

- Manage and oversee the entire inventory control process, including receiving, replenishment, picking, packing and shipping
- Day-to-day management of our inventory, including tracking stock levels, ensuring accuracy and maintaining proper rotation of products.
- Implement inventory control policies and procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and product shelf-life, ensuring that we have the right products available when needed.
- Identify and address slow-moving or obsolete inventory and work to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure proper stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline order processing and shipping.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast inventory needs and place orders
- Maintain inventory management systems and procedures

**The person**:
You will be have a qualification in Logistics, Inventory, Supply chain or a related field. You would also have relevant experience in a similar role, especially within the food industry, or a warehousing environment.

The key attributes and skills we are seeking:

- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyse data and reports
- Familiarity with food industry inventory practices (preferred).
