We want all people in New Zealand to receive the support they need to avoid injury and manage their own wellbeing
We think the ability to make a real difference to the lives of all New Zealanders is a great reason to come to work each day The Senior Policy Advisor role in the Scheme Policy team provides you with an opportunity to deliver meaningful outcomes for the people we serve through our mahi.
As a senior advisor, you’ll be recognised as a thought leader with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative approaches to solving complex problems. You’ll help to shape and drive the direction of our work, and coach others to deliver work that supports decision making by the ACC Board, Senior Management and Ministers.
We’re committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi by pursuing equitable access, experience, and outcomes for Māori, and providing space for mātauranga Māori-based approaches that can serve both tangata whenua and tangata Tiriti (non-Māori). Our Te Tiriti o Waitangi direction is guided by Whāia Te Tika - ‘Pursue What is Right’ - ACC’s Māori Strategy.
This is a 6 month contract and the hourly rate will be between $110 to $150 per hour (40 hours per week).
**What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role**:
- An experienced policy professional who is passionate about delivering robust, relevant policy advice to decision makers, ideally with experience in legislative and regulatory processes
- Relevant experience turning analysis into advice and the ability to think outside the square
- Sound judgement with an analytical ability allowing you to assimilate complex information and provide advice accordingly
- A natural ability to form strong, credible relationships with stakeholders across an organisation allowing you to present information in a meaningful way
- Inclusive, safe and collaborative working style which creates space for diverse perspectives
If you can tick off a few of the list above we’d love to hear from you. For us, it’s about how you go about your work - the relationships you build along the way and how you work with others for success.
