You will be joining a great team who support each other working collaboratively across locations. The Compute Projects Team works as part of Compute and Infrastructure Applications (NZ). This core Project Team that is driven to succeed and now, because of their ongoing success, we are seeing a strong demand for their skills and are on the lookout for Technical Consultants to join as we expand across the business. It is a great chance to be a part of our business who has a strong people and customer focus.
About the Role
This role would suit a client facing Senior Systems Engineer looking to fast-track their career as a consultant or those who already have the background and want to step into a more dynamic role that will utilize their skills to the max.
What you’ll do
- Implementation and build of windows systems, and design if appropriately skilled
- Requirements gathering and SOW creation
- Detailed design creation
- Working in collaboration with the team
- Provide BAU support across wider team if required
What you’ll bring
You'll be a global all-rounder on Microsoft, focusing on technical excellence, customer ownership and the delivery of professional, consistent and quality services to our customers. Bonus if you have some cloud skills and looking to expand on these
- Ability and willingness to be self-managing and proactive
- Aptitude to mentor other people, providing technical guidance and leadership on projects
- Have produced and peer reviewed high-level documentation
- Have experience and skills in requirement gathering and effort estimation
- Demonstrated the ability to engage with customer at all levels and talk them through benefits of the solution you are recommending
- Advanced technical skills with core Microsoft technologies - AD, DHCP, DNS, Server OS, ADFS, GPO, Messaging/Exchange, Hardening.
- Advanced technical skill with VMWare Virtualization in an enterprise environment
- Proven systems/infrastructure implementation and upgrade experience, preferably with MS core technologies and/or VMware in an enterprise environment
- Experience with automation and scripting
- Hardware, Storage, and Virtualization skills and experience
- Cloud, Azure, O365 skills and experience, with advanced knowledge in Exchange online, PaaS/SaaS platform
- Experience with systems monitoring tools
