Role Responsibilities The Senior Technical Consultant is responsible for (but not limited to):
Problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware / software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment.
Designing and developing high quality business solutions and design specifications.
Developing Technical documentation outlining solutions and features to our clients and their customer needs.
Capturing User Stories and Acceptance criteria for software features.
Documenting API interaction and Data translation documentation as required.
Assisting with the technical testing of integration and software features where required.
Assisting with problem analysis and root cause identification when required.
Helping lead a delivery team where necessary to help deliver a software solution using Agile methodologies.
Participating in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities. Identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organisations.
Running workshops to collaborate with stakeholders on their business and technical requirements.
Evaluating customer business needs, thus contributing to strategic planning of information systems facilities and software directions.
Planning and coordinating resources where necessary to complete product implementation and assisting in preparation of major sales proposals.
Liaising with major customers during preliminary analysis and testing of developed solutions or products.
Helping the customer to identify Epics and Features for their software solution to be delivered during workshops.
Identifying hi-level, technical and non-functional requirements.
Assisting with the sizing and budget estimates for the software solution to be delivered.
Researching solutions to meet customer and internal business challenges.
Delivering technical knowledge in a format appropriate to the audience and requirement.
Maintaining technical knowledge, including Certifications to ensure that your skills stay abreast of software updates.
Liaising directly with clients during project engagements and/or during the sales cycle.
Maintaining relationships with other business units across datacom to assist with Digital Enterprise solution.
Following and adhering to Datacom methodology, policies and procedures.
Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others. Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy.

Broad academic knowledge of information technology/business management and/or business concepts and products.
Knowledge of industry standards and government regulations relevant to data communications / networking.
Proven experience with automation languages, practices and toolsets.
Business awareness (corporate structure, ROI, TCO, budget and planning strategy etc).
Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for anticipating, recognising, managing, and resolving automation problems.
Proficient with modern DevOps Tools and utilities.
Knowledge of the Outsourced IT services and Infrastructure project requirements.
Key vendor product knowledge e.g. AWS, Azure/Azure Stack, GCP etc.
Experience
8+ years of related IT experience.
Technical leadership experience.
