- Our Capital Projects - Energy & Decarbonisation Portfolio is responsible for planning, scoping and implementing large capital programmes of work that support Fonterra’s strategic asset road map and big plays in sustainability. Our pipeline of work consists of high value and complex capital investments with broad impact and multiple stakeholders which require a high skill level in Project and Programme Management**About the opportunity | Te whai waahi**
- We are on an exciting journey to “decarbonise” our operational footprint and exit coal use by 2037. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Decarbonisation team and play a significant part in innovative projects that will improve our energy efficiency and switch us from coal to renewable energy.- Joining us as Delivery Manager - Transmission & Distribution you will make a significant impact on high profile large programmes of investment and have ownership across the full lifecycle of an investment, defining the full scope of work needed to deliver business outcomes.
Core responsibilities include:
- Designing, leading and managing Transmission & Distribution programme within our portfolio
- Leading the development of high-quality investment business cases that enable sound decisions
- Structuring and leading an integrated approach to complex programmes of work during implementation and transition to future state
- Establishing an environment that brings diverse groups together, working collaboratively towards a common goal and to form high performing teams to deliver successful investments

- This is an impactful and visible role that requires a high level of commercial acumen and ability to influence without authority. Your success will be measured in finding the best solutions, de-risking delivery and optimising efficiencies at portfolio and project level which will be achieved through the implementation of best practice Project Management processes.Your skill in high quality trust-based relationships will be the core to your success and you will create environments that support effective relationship building.Key skills we are looking for:
- Proven experience in delivering large scale complex programmes of work with success in delivering business outcomes
- Understanding key business systems, priorities and drivers within Transmission & Distribution companies
- Thorough understanding of transmission and distribution pricing methodologies and recovery of costs via lines charges
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to lead contract negotiations and engage with the electricity supply industry to deliver best value to Fonterra
- Extensive programme and project management experience at a senior level
- Experience in delivery of electrical infrastructure projects, including working with electricity transmission and distribution companies
- Transformational or organisational change experience
- Project Management qualification, preferably in PMP (but not essential)
- Confident working across multiple complex programmes and projects at any one time, with a strong commitment to meeting business needs
- Working understanding of the NZ electricity market and relevant regulations
- Relevant Electrical Qualification
