**About the role**

Reporting to the WNH Mine Manager, the primary accountability of this position is to lead and supervise production teams. This position is based at Waikato North Head Mine Site.
- Accountable for leading and supervising a production teams,
- Liaise with the key stakeholders to achieve production targets,
- Ensuring optimum operational efficiency across all plants at all times,
- Managing stakeholder relationships to maintain production schedule,
- Oversee training programmes for production staff.

**What you will bring to the role**

With an uncompromising attitude to safety and the ability to work well within a team environment you will also possess:

- A Grade Certificate Quarry Manager (desired, but not essential),
- A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience within a mining/ processing heavy industry,
- Proven operational experience within a mining/processing environment with rigorous safety & quality policies & procedures,
- Confident and competent in MS office suite programs,
- Analytical decision making,
- Self-motivated and can demonstrate high levels of initiative,
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail,
- Willingness to positively contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment,
- Mechanically astute,
- Hold a full NZ driver’s license,
- An uncompromising attitude to safety.

**About the team**

NZ Steel encourages and supports a safe working environment, so you must be physically fit and willing to commit to our health & safety standards. You need be able to commit to a 24 /7 shift roster across the different areas. This is a 12-hour shift pattern (4 days on / 4 days off, days & nights).
