**About the Role**

As a Clinical Coordinator in our Emergency Mental Health Services, you will take a leadership role in managing and coordinating care and services across the Emergency Mental Health, Home Based Treatment, Mental Health Police Liaison and Peer Support teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating delivery of services, developing and implementing clinical protocols, facilitating communication among multidisciplinary teams, working collaboratively with Health New Zealand’s community and hospital services, Police and NGO providers. Providing support and leadership to staff and driving quality improvement initiatives. You will also be the point of contact for staff development and patient education, ensuring that best practices are consistently delivered to improve patient outcomes.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

Our Mental health Service team is a collaborative group of dedicated healthcare professionals, including nurses, allied health staff, and peer support workers, Psychiatrists. Together, we aim to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to patients and their families throughout their mental health journey. We are a skilled in supporting people who live with severe mental illness and their whanau.
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) or Allied Health equivalent
- Have a current valid full driver’s licence.
- Extensive clinical experience in mental health, with a strong background in service coordination or leadership
- Actively coordinate the teams.
- A great team player and a sense of humour who is flexible and open to working in new and different ways.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive clinical improvements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- You have strong communication and relationship building skills
- A positive attitude
- A commitment to culturally safe, equitable, and patient-centred care
