Clinical Midwife Coordinator

Permanent, Part-time Positions Available

An exciting opportunity has presented for an experienced midwife to join our Clinical Midwife Coordinator (CMC) team in Maternity services.

You will work rostered, rotating shifts providing day to day clinical support, leadership and coordination of staff, systems and resources alongside a team of CMCs and Senior Midwives in Maternity Services.

As a CMC, you are the central point of communication across the inpatient maternity services, maintaining patient flow and ensuring safe and timely admissions, transfer/retrievals and discharges.

Required strengths:

- Good knowledge of Tikanga and cultural safety
- Strong focus on addressing health inequities and improving health outcomes for Maori, Pasifika and other vulnerable groups

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and continue to grow and develop professionally.

You will be working 32 hours per fortnight as a Clinical Midwife Coordinator, with a further 16 - 32 hours per fortnight as a Staff Midwife to make up a combination of 0.6 to 1.0 FTE (48 - 80 hours a fortnight).

Hours for Clinical Midwife Coordinator position likely to increase to 0.6 FTE over the next 12-24 months.
