**Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role**

We're looking for an enthusiastic and talented** Principal Advisor to join the Investment Management System (IMS) team**. This is a pivotal role within the IMS team and Investment Management in New Zealand. This role's purpose is to support the Manager IMS, and Head of Investment Management Policy, to deliver on a work programme that includes:

- Development and refinement of the evaluation framework and Budget processes for significant capital investments
- Review of the capital planning and funding pathways and requirements for agencies
- Ongoing provision of policy advice related to capital investment, including improvements to investment planning and delivery

To succeed in this role, you will be naturally collaborative and bring exceptional inter-personal and relationship management skills. You will have a proven ability to lead work programmes, understand different stakeholders' motivations and influence outcomes. In particular, you will bring:

- Significant experience working in public policy roles
- An ability to work at pace (when required) and deal with ambiguity
- A strong track record of working collaboratively
- Excellent communications skills
- A strong delivery focus
- Practical capital investment experience (desirable but not essential)
