To enable this strategic vision we are seeking a Principal Advisor to join our Investment Planning Team. The role is to develop the Regional Land Transport Plan and provide a range of associated transport investment planning advice.
**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Development of the Regional Land Transport Plan (RLTP), including joint development with Council and other partners (a key responsibility for this role)
- Ongoing management of the RLTP
- Development of Auckland Transport's Statement of Intent
- Auckland Transport's input to multi-agency strategic planning - such as the ATAP process
- Contribute to the management of Auckland Transport's portfolio management framework, including benefits realisation components and advising the Investment Committees on the health of AT's eight main portfolios

This is a critical and complex role that spans a number of disciplines. We are looking for someone who can provide the bulk of the following attributes:

- extensive experience, with public sector experience preferred, in transport and investment planning / strategy / policy or related area
- demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of cross-agency public policy or strategy documents or processesThis is also a demanding role that requires navigating a range of different governance and legislative processes, often within the context of competing objectives, typically under time pressure. We are looking for someone who will bring energy and initiative to the role, along with a commitment to do what it takes to succeed.
