**Your New Opportunity**:
In your designated portfolio you will:
- Build strong relationships with managers and employees and engage people in HSE practices and a safety culture for Penske's Australia and New Zealand business operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain a National Integrated Management System (IMS) that matches Penske's legislative and ISO requirements in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Environment and Total Quality Management
- Provide an effective Risk Management approach to ensuring best practice OH&S and Environmental management for Penske's business operations
- Ensure HSE policies and procedures are embedded in Penske's business operations
- Ensure facilities maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner within the Penske New South Wales and New Zealand branches
This is an operationally focused role best suited to a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who enjoys working closely with the business to coach our team members to own safety.
**About You**:
- Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualification in OH&S - minimum Certificate IV OH&S
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (preferred but not mandatory)
- Qualified Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator with demonstrated experience in Rehabilitation and Return to Work programs
- Certified IMS Auditor (preferred)
- Incident Lead Investigator trained (ICAM preferred)
- Experience in implementing and maintaining best practice OHS and Environmental programs
- Good knowledge of federal and state legislation related to OHS & Environment
- Proven experience managing Workers Compensation, including claims, policies and procedures
- Ability to train and coach managers and employees on Safety and Environment programs including Workers Compensation
- Established competence in auditing (preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience in managing people and contractors
