**Learn to Swim Instructor | Tepid Baths (Auckland CBD)**

Here at Auckland Council, our leisure centres play a key role in achieving our goal of making Auckland the most active city in the world. And right now, we’re looking for a Learn to Swim Instructor to join our Pool and Leisure Centre team in the Auckland CBD to help achieve that goal

Day-to-day, you could expect to work on:

- Teaching people the basic principles of how to swim (we'll teach you how to do this)
- Maintaining a fun, caring and safe environment for customers and visitors
- Being part of an amazing team serving your local community

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You will be a great swimmer and instructor, have a love of water, have exceptional customer service skills, and be able to communicate well with members of the public.
Previous experience working with children would be beneficial.

If you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a Swimming Instructor, that’d be fantastic. However, we will provide full, comprehensive training that you need to excel in the job. The training will take place from 22 Sept to 3 October, Monday to Friday, at Auckland CBD and West Wave.

To be considered for this role, you must also be willing to complete First Aid training.
- Swim 20 metres freestyle
- 20 metres backstroke
- Tread water for 3 minutes

**Pay rate**: $27.80 per hour (_Our employer Kiwisaver contribution is additional to base salary offered. )_
