Senior Test Analyst

**Te Tūranga - The Role**

As Tait Communications continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Test Analyst to join our team. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in all aspects of the product lifecycle within the product and system testing discipline, particularly for complex systems. You will be responsible for creating test strategies and test plans, test designs, test execution and test reporting.

**The duties of the role will include however not limited to**:

- Requirements capture and analysis to ensure the testing needs of projects are well understood
- Test planning (test strategy, estimation of effort, test resource planning)
- Test coordination during release testing and feature development
- Test design specification, implementation and execution (both manual and scripted testing).
- Identify, report and track defects using tools like JIRA, collaborating with development teams to resolve defects efficiently.
- Learning from others to become an expert in Tait products, and mentoring others in the same.
- Identification and introduction of modern test tools and maintenance of test systems

**Ō pūkenga - About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have a Tertiary Qualification in engineering, software, computer science and/or equivalent work experience).

As well as:

- 5+ years of industry experience as a tester in agile product development teams
- Be experienced with communication equipment and systems; like radio systems, telecommunication, IP networking
- Possess good understanding of different test methodologies and testing best practices
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proven experience in owning and driving improvement in Test processes.
- Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous;
- TCP/IP Communication protocols,, Radio Systems, Audio processing, Linux, Jenkins, Gitlab
