**What can you expect?**
This role will require managing a portfolio of key accounts and working alongside the Business Development team to identify and generate new business leads and to prepare and present RFP responses to potential clients.
Coach and develop Senior Risk Advisors, Risk Advisors and Brokers through clear and effective communication, delegation and performance management.
Contribute towards the Company’s profit objectives through the effective management and attainment of revenue and expense budgets.

- Lead, plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal performance meets required standard
- Engender a positive and tenacious client retention and development focus amongst subordinated through regular communication of client status and retention issues
- Assist Practice Leader with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of team/unit’s business plans and objectives.
- Meet and exceed the service standards agreed in the client’s service agreement.
- Maximise team and account profitability through the implementation of efficient and effective work practices, adequate client billing and sensible expense control.
- Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and frequently monitor political, management and other changes within client organisations to preserve and protect the Company’s relationship at all times
- Maximise utilisation of Marsh’s national and global resources by maintaining an awareness of and using facilities and capabilities available
- Attend and participate in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company.
- Adhere strictly to and ensure that all subordinates adhere strictly to the Company's quality practices and other systems and procedures
**What you need to have**:
- Broking experience looking after medium to large commercial accounts
- Strong sales acumen and client management skills
- Be confident interacting and presenting to clients at senior management level
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Travel will be required
- Be willing to work towards completion of qualifications in line with new competency requirements for financial advisors.
- Valid working rights for New Zealand
- Proficiency in MS office
